Little Clowns of Happytown is an American animated television series produced by DiC and aired on ABC from September 26, 1987 to July 16, 1988, for a total of 18 episodes. The show is about the young clowns from Happytown, whose goal is to spread happiness and imbue positive mental attitudes around the world wherever they go. The only thing that stands in their way is Awful BeBad, the master of doom and gloom, and his two minions, Geek and Whiner.
The show was later released in VHS and DVD. The Mill Creek Entertainment NTSC DVD release TV Guide Spotlight: Totally '80s Toons, UK VHS and DVD releases has very few episodes.[1][2] Only the Joking Around with the Little Clowns shorts, several episodes dubbed in Arabic, and a intro of the show have surfaced and no other episodes in English has been uploaded on the Internet.
A VHSRip of a episode from the UK VHS release was recently found by a user RetroGameFan9000, aka Ethan M. Nelson on a Russian file sharing site TrackerOK.[3]
On June 7, 2016, a YouTube user named Meringue in Sugartown,USA uploaded 4 original English dub episodes of the show on YouTube but has since taken down due to the account termination.
On April 16, 2017, a YouTuber called TheMysteriousMrEnter uploaded a review of the episode "I'm Just Like You," but the original episode is still lost.[4]
On August 18, 2017, a LMW user called Awful BeBad found a Korean bootleg DVD of the show, which includes most of the lost episodes. He uploaded them on Dailymotion as private videos (the links are in the comments), with the password being "lostmediawiki.com", minus the quotation marks. The English versions of those episodes are still lost.[5]
