'''Out of Jimmy's Head''' was a live action/animated show that aired on Cartoon Network from 2007-2008, which is based off the live action/animated television film titled '''Re-Animated'''.

The film Re-Animated is about 7th grader Jimmy Roberts ('''Dominic Janes''') getting the brain of famed cartoonist Milt Appleday ('''Fred Willard'''), after being hit by a train. After he receives the brain, Jimmy can see all of Milt's famous creations including Golly Gopher ('''Paul Reubens''' in the movie; '''Carlos Alazraqui''' in the show), Dolly Gopher ('''Ellen Greene'''), Tux the Penguin ('''Tom Kenny'''), Crocco the Alligator ('''Brian Posehn'''), and the two mute characters Pickles and Prickles. Meanwhile, Milt's son, Sonny Appleday ('''Matt Knudsen'''), wants to steal the brain from Jimmy so that he can become as successful as his father and take over the world. There is also Jimmy's best friend Craig ('''Micah Karns''' in the movie; '''Jon Ethridge''' in the show), Jimmy's crush Robin ('''Eunice Cho''' in the movie; '''Tinashe Kachingwe''' in the show), Jimmy's parents ('''Bill Dwyer''' and '''Rachel Quaintance'''), and Jimmy's adopted sister from space Yancy ('''Rhea Lando''').
'''''Out of Jimmy's Head''''' was a live action/animated show created by Tim McKeon and Adam Pava that aired on Cartoon Network from September 14th, 2007 to May 29th, 2008. It was based off a live action/animated television film made by the same people titled ''Re-Animated''.

The movie aired on Cartoon Network on December 8, 2006, and was released on DVD on September 11, 2007. On September 14, 2007, OOJH premiered on Cartoon Network. Out Of Jimmy's Head continues the story of Re-Animated, with Jimmy still having Milt's brain, and Sonny trying to steal it.

The film ''Re-Animated'' is about 7th grader Jimmy Roberts (played by Dominic Janes) getting the brain of famed cartoonist Milt Appleday (Fred Willard) after being hit by a train. After he receives the brain, Jimmy can see all of Milt's famous creations including Golly Gopher (Paul Reubens in the movie; Carlos Alazraqui in the show), Dolly Gopher (Ellen Greene), Tux the Penguin (Tom Kenny), Crocco the Alligator (Brian Posehn), and the two mute characters Pickles and Prickles. Meanwhile, Milt's son, Sonny Appleday (Matt Knudsen), wants to steal the brain from Jimmy so that he can become as successful as his father and take over the world.

Both the film and the show were panned by critics and viewers. Many CN fans complained about a live action show airing on '''Cartoon Network'''. There were also other problems during the run of the series. Out of Jimmy's Head was the only series on the network to be affected by the 2007 Writers Guild of America strike, which lead to a hiatus and the series adding a laugh track starting in episode 8. Another problem was that Cartoon Network advertised the series as the first live action series on Cartoon Network. However, Space Ghost Coast to Coast holds that title, having been aired in 1994. Eventually, Out of Jimmy's Head was cancelled on May 29, 2008.
The show itself continues the story of Re-Animated, with Jimmy still having Milt's brain, and Sonny still trying to steal it.

Likely due to the unpopularity of the show, many of the episodes were not saved. Only the first three episodes of the series were ever released on a region-free DVD in the UK. The 3 episodes can be found [https://archive.org/details/OutOfJimmysHeadThreeEpisodes here.]The majority of the series' episodes are available online dubbed into Romanian, where it is known as ''Din Mintea Lui Jimmy'' (''From the Mind Of Jimmy''). ==Reception and Production==
Both the film and the show were panned by critics and viewers. Like many of their new shows at the time, many CN fans complained about a live action show being aired on the network, which was almost exclusively known for cartoons up until then. The show's writing in general was also criticized. Despite all of that, however, it has won a few awards, including a Young Artist Award for "Best Ensemble Cast".

The show also experienced several problems production-wise. ''Out of Jimmy's Head'' was the only series on the network to be affected by the 2007 Writers Guild of America strike. While the show had already been completed by the time the strike occurred, it did prevent the writers from assisting with the editing and post-production process, which lead to the series adding a laugh track in episode 8 onward.

An emmy DVD, created for the purpose of review for a potential award, has surfaced supposedly containing the lost episode ''Sick Day''. A DVDrip of the episode can be found [https://mega.nz/#!I0xxSa7C!tzl2cwIRLO9G12BPwEiy-1EMXAU4I3K5Xwh5cvr_JuM here.]

Due to the show's unpopularity, few home media releases were made for it. In fact, only one known region-free DVD release was made in the UK, and even then said DVD only had three of the show's 20 episodes.

Out of Jimmy's Head was a live action/animated show created by Tim McKeon and Adam Pava that aired on Cartoon Network from September 14th, 2007 to May 29th, 2008. It was based off a live action/animated television film made by the same people titled Re-Animated.

Plot

The film Re-Animated is about 7th grader Jimmy Roberts (played by Dominic Janes) getting the brain of famed cartoonist Milt Appleday (Fred Willard) after being hit by a train.

The show itself continues the story of Re-Animated, with Jimmy still having Milt's brain, and Sonny still trying to steal it.

Reception and Production

Both the film and the show were panned by critics and viewers. Like many of their new shows at the time, many CN fans complained about a live action show being aired on the network, which was almost exclusively known for cartoons up until then. The show's writing in general was also criticized. Despite all of that, however, it has won a few awards, including a Young Artist Award for "Best Ensemble Cast".

The show also experienced several problems production-wise. Out of Jimmy's Head was the only series on the network to be affected by the 2007 Writers Guild of America strike. While the show had already been completed by the time the strike occurred, it did prevent the writers from assisting with the editing and post-production process, which lead to the series adding a laugh track in episode 8 onward.

Availability

Due to the show's unpopularity, few home media releases were made for it. In fact, only one known region-free DVD release was made in the UK, and even then said DVD only had three of the show's 20 episodes.

While most of the show's original dub is lost, the majority of the series' episodes are available online in Romanian, where it is known as Din Mintea Lui Jimmy (From the Mind Of Jimmy).
