Spooney Melodies were a series of live action shorts, featuring music that was popular back then. They have believed to been made between 1930 and 1931, with a total of 5 shorts. It was the precursor to the famous Merrie Melodies animated shorts. As of now, only 1 short has been found named "Cryin' for the Carolines", that was released on the Looney Tunes Golden Collection Volumes 1 and 6.
