Terebi Denwa: Super Mario World (found Japanese arcade game; 1992)
Terebi Denwa: Super Mario World is an arcade game that was released in 1992 by Banpresto.
Gameplay
The game consisted of the player being asked puzzle-based or action-based questions by Mario. Similar to other Terebi Denwa games by Banpresto, the player would listen to characters speak from a telephone-shaped speaker and answer questions by pressing numbered buttons.[1]
Availablity
Terebi Denwa: Super Mario World was exclusive to Japan and for years its ROM file has never been distributed online. Most game screenshots and video footage are in low quality.
Although a cabinet is owned by Japanese YouTuber kikai / マリオガイド, it is currently broken.[2]
On September 14th, 2023, Phil Bennett announced on Twitter that he dumped the game onto MAME, though stating it wasn't working properly.[3]
