The Mézga Family and the Computer (Hungarian A Mézga család és a (sz)ámítógép) was a 2005 Hungarian animated sequel series to the 1969 series of the same name animated created by József Romhányi and József Nepp and animated by Pannónia Film Studio.

This series revolved around the family adjusting to modern technology such as the internet and computers. 13 episodes of the series was ordered and animated by Studio Ex-ist Kft. However only two episodes were made and officially released, due to the growing recession in Hungary at the time, the show was cancelled.[1]

Availability

The first two episodes are easily available to find online. The other eleven episodes are lost. It is unknown if there were any pre-production content such as animatics, storyboards, or scripts on the eleven episodes floating around online, or if at least half of the eleven episodes were even made. Although one of the artists who worked on it posted his work on his blog.[2]
