This Man was a planned horror film for which the popular creepypasta Ever Dream This Man? was created. Movie Insider lists Bryan Bertino as director and screenwriter and Ghost House Pictures as the production company. Also listed is Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi as producers.

In 2009, a website called started to make its way around the internet. On the website, it states that "In January 2006 in New York, the patient of a well-known psychiatrist draws the face of a man that has been repeatedly appearing in her dreams." Further adding to the lore of "This Man" the website states that "From January 2006 until today, at least 2000 people have claimed they have seen this man in their dreams, in many cities all over the world: Los Angeles, Berlin, Sao Paulo, Tehran, Beijing, Rome, Barcelona, Stockholm, Paris, New Dehli, Moskow etc." On May 6, 2010, it was revealed by that the website was a hoax and that a film based on This Man was in production with Bryan Bertino directing and writing the film. After that announcement, no updates about the film were made. No actors/actresses were named for the project.

Despite the scarcity of updates from the project, when the film was announced, a press release by Ghost House Pictures, the production company for the project, stated:"based on real-life accounts," and will follow "an ordinary guy who discovers that people he has never met are seeing him in their dreams. Now he must find out why he is the source of nightmares for strangers all over the world."
