Kangaroo Jack was a buddy comedy film originally released on January 17th, 2003, in the United States. However, there is a significant difference between the cut that was released and some of the content that was originally filmed for the movie.

Early in production, the film was intended to be a mob comedy called Down and Under with an R rating planned filled with swearing and nudity.[1] After a poor test screening, producer Jerry Bruckheimer increased the screentime of the kangaroo, toned down the adult content, and replaced the animatronic kangaroo with a computer-generated kangaroo as well as marketing the film as a talking animal kids film ala Snow Dogs.[2]

The audio commentary by the cast and crew revealed that the cut would have had a scene where Jessie (Estella Warren) gives Charlie (Jerry O'Connell) his Captain Amazing bracelet back.

On April 4th, 2022, Lost Media Wiki user YoshiKiller2S found and uploaded the screenplay for Down and Under to Google Drive.[3]
