MF DOOM is a British-American rapper critically acclaimed for his rhyme patterns and albums such as his debut album for his "MF DOOM" moniker "Operation Doomsday" in 1999. This album was a huge success making MF DOOM a household name and legend in the hip-hop and rap community. He would later release his next album "Take Me To Your Leader" by a different moniker as King Geedorah and would also receive critical acclaim.
Fazers
Fazers is the first song that was released on the King Geedorah album back in 2003. While the song is does not contain any notable NSFW sounds, its sample was, according to MF DOOM himself, came from an unknown '70s pornographic film[1]. According to MF DOOM the 100th episode of The House List that was recorded back in 2003, Doom stated that his co-producer "E. Mason" introduced MF DOOM the sample that came from a pornographic film that was released "around 1979 or something like that" that stars an actor who was a skinny person and in cowboy boots alongside 2 females co-stars[1].
False Leads
In 2017, a YouTuber by the name of filipintotrash made a video claiming he found the original sample of Fazers. He said the song's name is called "For ever, James" from GoldenEye. The song was made in 1995. Later, the claim was soon debunked by Peter Agoston who released their 100th episode of the podcast The House List which interviewed MF DOOM on the King Geedorah album.
Availability
Due to many false leads, debunks, and MF DOOM's unfortunate passing in 2020, the search for the original sample has simmered down. In addition, the said producer for the song "E. Mason" is unconfirmed to ever exist and has been unidentified. There are some hopes for the sample to be found, but as of June 2024, the original sample is completely lost.
