Mum's Magic Mulch is an unaired TV movie made for HBO in 1990. It stared British-American performance art comedy duo The Kipper Kids and was directed by Stephen R. Johnson, best known for making music videos for Peter Gabriel.[1] Little is known of the content of the film other than a few production shots there were posted on their Facebook page.[2]
The film is listed in the collection of The Museum of Modern art.[3] Brian Routh of the Kipper Kids stated in Dominic Johnson's The Art of Living: An Oral History of Performance Art that "creatively, we left everything to (Stephen R. Johnson)" but "the result was really lame. The music was awful, too. Everything about Mum's Magic Mulch was awful. HBO didn't even show it. It was shelved."
