On October 17, 2021, fragments of a French dub of the show were uploaded on YouTube. The only existing footage is 3/4 of Choo Choo Fraidy, and the last half of It’s a Dog’s Life. This proves that the rest of the other 10 episodes are dubbed in French, but are completely lost. | |||

Fraidy Cat was a 1975 Filmation cartoon. It originally premiered on ABC's Uncle Croc's Block (which had both live action and animation) along with two other cartoons, Wacky and Packy and M.U.S.H. It should not be confused with the Tom & Jerry short from 1942 or the cancelled Disney animated movie.
The plot of each 6 minute long episode is that Fraidy the cat gets himself into a predicament, and one of his corresponding lives come to help if he says a number “one” through “nine.”
Hallmark Cards acquired Filmation in 1995, and they converted the original master tapes from NTSC to PAL before discarding the NTSC tapes. This conversion pitched the videos up by a half-step.
Some of the episodes in NTSC format can be found on many public domain DVDs, however, the episodes aren’t taken from their masters, instead being taken from VHS tapes.
After a massive shuffling of rights, the Filmation library is now the property of NBC Universal under DreamWorks Classics.
Currently, Fraidy Cat is under the copyright of DreamWorks.
Currently, the only legitimate way to own Fraidy Cat on DVD is through buying the Frightfully Funny Collection Vol. 2 DVD by BCI.
Episodes
As of September 2024, the entire series has been found so far. Here is a list of the episodes that were created.
