Mortal Kombat X: Generations was supposed as an American web series anthology adapted from the fictional universe of the Mortal Kombat video game franchise. It was a spin-off of the web series Mortal Kombat Legacy that debuted on Machinima's YouTube channel in 2011 and had two seasons. [1]
Premise
MK or Mortal Kombat X: Generations would be a prequel antecedent of the events that culminates the plot from the game Mortal Kombat X.
The story starts 20 years into the future of the 2011 retcon, focusing on a new generation made up of offspring from the veteran characters as well as new characters like D'vorah and Erron Black. This would have been in an anthology format like the past seasons of Mortal Kombat: Legacy.[2]

Despite the series popularity with fans, Mortal Kombat X: Generations has never been greenlit . Only promotional material has been released.[3]
