BeyWheelz: Powered by Beyblade is a Japanese-Canadian anime spinoff of the Beyblade franchise produced by SynergySP and Nelvana. The series debuted in August 2012 and ran for 13 episodes. It was created to fulfill a gap in episode orders caused by Beyblade: Metal Fury's shortened season and to promote a new line of toys from Hasbro.[1]

BeyWheelz is the first in a trio of Beyblade spinoffs produced for the western market. To date, it has yet to be released in Japan. The only indication a Japanese version exists comes from the Italian dub of the series. Rather than being derived from Nelvana's English dub, it's based on the Japanese script. The Italian dub features opening and closing credits with a Japanese cast list.[2]
