LEGO "Adventurers" (lost Cartoon Network UK interstitial series; 1998)
LEGO "Adventurers" is an obscure animated series which first aired on March 23, 1998 on Cartoon Network in Europe. After its premier, the series' remaining episodes aired periodically on wendnesdays, mondays and fridays.[1]
Content
Information on the show is sparce, with only a single advertisement for it on an issue of Bricks 'n Pieces confiming its existence, a LEGO magazine from the United Kingdom. Which details on how the series had 9 episodes which formed a full story in its "omnibus" edition via compiling all the episodes, and that it had a cast of characters which originate from LEGO sets, such as Sam Grant, Harry Cane and Lizard Boots.[1]
According to Reddit user extremelygood, who watched the series during its airing, the show's episodes were short, lasting around a minute and only aired as interstitials during the network's programming. Other details include the series being made up of montages of stills images from LEGO sets in a comic book-esque format and a narrator being present who supposedly did all the characters voices.[2]
Availability
To this day, no images or clips from the series have ever resurfaced, likely due to its short time on air and the fact that it was only broadcasted on Europe. Rendering the series as completely lost.
