Before the 2002 movie The Ring came out in America, there was a large amount of hidden advertisements through random websites. This ranged from information about the characters, to knowledge about "the tape" itself.[1]
These websites can easily be found on the Wayback Machine's web archive service, but not everything had been snapshotted. This includes three teaser videos that were hosted on the sites Sadakoisdead.com and Samaraisdead.com
Sadako1.mov
This video is said to have been an abstract video, although it's contents aren't exactly known. It is said to have a running time of around 30 seconds.
Sadako2.mov
The title of this second video is Sadako2.mov. It's been described to be another, even more, abstract video than Sadako1.mov. However, it's also been said to include spoilers of the movie.
Bloody1.mov
The third video is the most recalled and most notable video out of the three. It contained a man with a knife, stabbing himself in his mouth, as if he was brushing his teeth with it.[2]
Availability
Once the marketing was done the websites were shut down making the trailers/teasers lost. It's unknown whether the trailers/teasers would be uploaded to the internet or included in another DVD release.
