Status: Existence Unconfirmed

Curious George is an animated adaptation of the children's book series of the same name that ran on PBS Kids from 2006-2015 and from 2018-present, the show serves as a continuation of the 2006 film of the same name.

The series consists of two characters, an African monkey name George and his human mentor known as "The Man in the Yellow Hat" as they go on many misadventures around the city.

Test Pilot

There is strong evidence of a test pilot made for the series in 2004 or 2005[1]. The pilot was developed at the same time the movie was,[2] and then supposedly shown to preschoolers during that time. Despite this, no footage from the pilot has resurfaced as of march 2023, although it seems that footage may exist in the WGBH archives.[3] According to the WGHB archives website there are two versions of the "Zeroes to Donuts" episode. One version labeled “103” & another version named “103; 101A”. The “103; 101A” seems to be the pilot episode.[4] An older version of the show's logo, along with three versions of the "Zeroes to Donuts" pilot, with minor differences such as the color of the chair curious george is standing on have been found on the curious george website[5], Minimax facebook page (Romanian Kids TV network)[6], & PBS Montana.[7]
