- 18:04, 14 January 2024 SpaceManiac888 talk contribs created page Seven, Bessie Street (partially found soap opera script of Coronation Street creator; pre-1957) (Before creating Coronation Street, Tony Warren wrote two other soap opera scripts, called Where No Birds Sing and Our Street. The latter was even pitched to the BBC in 1957. But interestingly, an even earlier script was written by Warren, which he never discussed in his lifetime. According to David Tucker, there's only a few connections between it and Coronation Street, but it still remains historic. Tucker saved it from destruction but will never fully release it as per his friend's request.)

- 19:04, 13 January 2024 SpaceManiac888 talk contribs created page Florizel Street (lost dry runs of Coronation Street; 1960) (Been bogged down with COVID-19, but on the mend now. Anyhow, been wanting to cover this for ages, finally came across the required sources on the Internet Archive. Took a surprising amount of effort to encourage Granada higher-ups of the show's potential, necessitating two pilots and some backing by Granada's personnel. Still, a cornerstone of British television was born... Florizel Street... or it would have been had anyone liked the original title! Could have been called Jubilee Street too.)

- 16:44, 9 January 2024 SpaceManiac888 talk contribs created page EastEnders (lost scrapped "baby swap" scenes, scripts and storyboards of BBC soap opera; 2010-2011) (This was genuinely among the most difficult articles to research and write about. I understand why this storyline received backlash, seeing as Ronnie Branning's actions do not reflect the typical behaviour of a grieving mother. But when considering Ronnie's traumatic past and the tremendous work by the involved actors, I think EastEnders handled the subject matter well. It would be interesting to see the original plans for this narrative. I hope I have treated this topic respectfully.)

- 22:21, 7 January 2024 SpaceManiac888 talk contribs created page FIRST: Double Trouble (lost rejected Nickelodeon pilot of robotic sports competition; 1999) (My FIRST article for 2024 ha ha. I grew up watching Robot Wars, finding it to be a grand show focused on destruction. That said, it's a shame FIRST never really landed a major television deal, as it certainly could have proved compelling for a young audience. Based on the other footage available of Double Trouble, I think I would have enjoyed this robotic sport, in the same fashion as Robotica.)

And wow, what a result, primarily thanks to 4-3-3 formation the Lionesses utilised. Astounds me just how little footage is publicly available.)

- 14:15, 31 December 2023 SpaceManiac888 talk contribs created page 1985 WFA Cup Final (lost footage of football match; 1985) (2023 is nearing the end... anyhow, this was the last WFA Cup Final to receive non-dedicated television coverage. In a game that set up the 1990 Final clash quite nicely, Friends of Fulham outmatched Doncaster Belles on "home soil" of sorts thanks to acquiring Craven Cottage!)

- 18:14, 28 December 2023 SpaceManiac888 talk contribs created page Scotland 2-3 England (partially found footage of international football match; 1972) (The first ever international women's match in the UK! ...Well, that's what FIFA will tell people, the reality is that British women's football had commenced since 1881, but had been undermined since the 1920s. The English and Scottish FAs damn near came close to killing the sport with their Football League ground bans, with the game marking an important step forward for women's football's recognition. Also, it's amazing how much nonsense the players had to overcome from the media back then.)

Thought I'd quickly conjure up a Christmas-related piece of media, namely the first programme to be televised on Christmas Day of 1936. Aka the first true BBC Christmas show... humble beginnings, but paved the way for a more extravagant future.)

- 14:41, 24 December 2023 SpaceManiac888 talk contribs created page Women's Soccer 1991 (lost footage of English and international football matches; 1991) (Channel 4 continued its extensive coverage (well, for early 1990s Britain) of the women's game in 1991. While England were not competitive enough for the 1991 FIFA Women's World Cup, the Lionesses were still miles ahead of Scotland. Speaking of Lionesses, Millwall stunned Doncaster Belles with a 1-0 win in the WFA Cup Final, in a match that took its physical toll on the players. British Film Institute sadly does not contain any recordings, unlike the 1990 edition.)

One was pulled for personal reasons in 2006, but was mysterious aired on Challenge seven years later. The other episode's cancellation was more controversial based on Deal or No Deal Fansite discussion, with it remaining unaired as of the present day.)
- 17:33, 13 December 2023 SpaceManiac888 talk contribs created page Deal or No Deal (partially found pilots of Channel 4 game show; 2005) (I remember watching Deal or No Deal back from 2009-2010, it was surprisingly compelling even with its simple, luck-based concept. What sold the show for me and others was Noel Edmonds' presentation... he very nearly declined hosting it, though was later convinced of the show's potential. A few pilots are believed to have been filmed, including one featuring Family Fortunes' host Brian Conley.)

- 08:03, 13 December 2023 SpaceManiac888 talk contribs created page Women's Soccer 1990 (partially found footage of English and international football matches; 1990) (Channel 4 saw the potential of televised women's football and expanded its coverage beyond the WFA Cup Final. The later stages were televised, as was England's Euro 1991 qualifying match against Belgium. Interestingly, the BFI holds every tape within its archives. So why only partially found? Match highlights were cut to meet a 50-minute broadcast. Seeing how each game lasted 90 minutes, lots of footage was lost. it may explain why scorer and line-up information for the quarter-finals are lost.)
