Status: Partially Found

The Incredibles 2 is a 2018 animated film sequel to the 2004 Pixar film The Incredibles. The film follows the Parr family right when the first entry ended, with them disguising themselves as the Incredibles fighting the Underminer, where they end up causing property damage and let him get away with his crimes, this in turn leads to the Superhero Relocation Program closing down, rendering superheroes illegal. Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl and Frozone then meet up with Winston Deavor, a businessman who gives them missions as a way for the public to trust superheroes again.

However, a somewhat unknown element of the film is that, when it first premiered in theatres, an exclusive opening was played before the film started.

The opening

This opening, which supposedly ran for only 30 seconds, featured some of the film's crew, such as Pete Docter, Brad Bird, Samuel L. Jackson and many others, apologizing for the sequel's extensive time in development alongside a red background with the sequel's logo, and promising that the film would've been worth the wait.[1][2]

Availability

The apology would ultimately be left out of home media releases and is also unavailable on Disney+'s Extra features, rendering it as lost outside of a one-second clip from a camera recording of the film's opening night at the El Capitan Theatre.
