In 2006, Deal or No Deal was picked up for syndication by NBC. Future host Howie Mandel originally refused to host it at first, leading NBC to choose Arsenio Hall as the host. Six episodes were shot with Hall as host, but the show was ultimately passed off. However in 2007, Mandel finally agreed to host the syndicated version, which would start airing in 2008.

Hall's episodes have not publicly surfaced in any form, and the only other information that's known about the version's format is that it had a $250,000 grand prize.
