Ben & Holly's Little Kingdom is a British-Canadian children's animated TV series co-created by Astley Baker Davies and Entertainment One (the companies behind Peppa Pig) that ran on Channel 5's children's block Milkshake! from 2009-2013. The show consists of Ben the elf and Holly the fairy and their friends and family all taking place in the Little Kingdom.

Pilot

In 2005, a pilot (then titled Little Kingdom) was made to pitch the show to BBC 2. The pitch had some differences from the final show, for example, Holly's wand being a darker shade of pink, Ben having a green shirt instead of blue, and Gastron the Ladybug's head being purple instead of black. The pilot was also voiced by a female narrator unlike in the final show.

The pilot was first screened at Cartoons on The Bay in 2006 (when it won an award for best pilot)[1] and again at the London Animation Club convention in 2017 when an unknown user recorded the pilot on their camera and uploaded it (along with the pilot for Peppa Pig) onto their YouTube channel on April 29th, 2021. The video had since been taken down and was reuploaded by YouTuber BlueFrog a few days later.
