Super Why! is an American-Canadian CGI animated series that ran on PBS Kids from 2007 to 2016. The series about a kid name Whyatt Beanstalk (aka Super Why) who is the leader of a group of superheroes known as the Super Readers that consists of his friends Woofster, Littlest Pig (Alpha Pig), Red Riding Hood (Wonder Red), and Princess Pea (Princess Presto) who, in each episode, jump into a book of a famous story to help solve various problems.
British Dub
On 2nd June 2008, the show premiered on Nick Jr. UK, with a separate dub made to help localize the show to a British audience. The dub lasted for one season only for it to be replaced with the original American version for the later seasons.
The characters were re-dubbed with British voice actors, Whyatt Beanstalk was voiced by Solomon Brown, Littlest Pig voiced by Kyle Stanger, Red Riding Hood voiced by Abriella Bierer and Princess Pea voiced by Teresa Gallagher.
Status
After the first season concluded, future airings of the series were rebroadcast with the original American dub. Since then, episodes of the dub are hard to come by since it never had any DVD releases. Similar to the Little Einsteins, the show's available on Amazon Prime UK that instead uses the American dub.
An upload of the dub's opening along with a few promos of the had resurfaced. In 2021 a clip of the British dub for the episode "Alice in Wonderland" was uploaded to YouTube by LMW user JJ Treston.
On September 16th, 2023, the UK dub of the first episode "The Three Little Pigs" was found in a low-quality camera recording.
