Hachaverim Shel Barney (Hebrew: החברים של ברני, meaning "Barney's Friends") is the Israeli version of the well-known American children's television show "Barney & Friends." The Israeli adaptation debuted on November 2, 1997, on Channel 2, quickly gaining popularity. In 1998, it was also shown on Arutz Hayeladim (ערוץ הילדים, The Children's Channel) and later aired on Channel 33 and Hop!. The series has been made available on VHS and DVD. In 2015, the original "Barney & Friends" was dubbed in Hebrew and broadcast on JimJam[1], featuring a different voice cast than the Israeli version.
