Uma Encrenca no Olimpo (Trouble on Olympus in English) is a 1929 Brazilian comedy film directed by Luiz de Barros and starring Genésio Arruda and Tom Bill. There is no conclusive information that the film has actually been completed.[1]

Production

The film was produced simultaneously with Acabaram-se os Otários, but for some reason, it was never shown in theaters. In the newspaper Cinearte on August 7, 1929, it says that the film was almost ready and should be shown at Santa Helena in São Paulo, however, as far as know, it never happened.[2]

Synopsis

The synopsis of the film is unknown, as it was never published in any newspaper at the time, but from the title, can be deduced that it is about Genésio Arruda and Tom Bill doing various mischiefs on Olympus.

Availability

It was believed that two images from the film were available, however, after analysis, it was concluded that the image was not from Uma Encrenca no Olimpo, but was possibly from a canceled 1929 film called "Meia Volta, Volver".
