The Wiggles Show is the name given to the fourth and fifth television series by the Australian children's group, The Wiggles. The Wiggles Show recycles the format of their first television series. Each 22 minute episode has songs performed by the group, sketches involving Captain Feathersword (portrayed by actor Paul Paddick) and his crew (played by various backup dancers the group have), The Wiggles in a situation in their fictional residence called Wigglehouse, Dorothy The Dinosaur (portrayed by Caterina Mete or Lyn Stuckey and voiced by Jacqueline Field) teaching a specific dance, The Little Wiggles in a situation in their fictional residence called Wigglehouse and Jeff Wiggle (portrayed by Jeff Fatt) showcasing various animals. Most of the songs performed in the series are either performed in a forest, a beach, in a video released by the group (Top Of The Tots, Sailing Around the World, Here Comes The Big Red Car and It's Time to Wake Up Jeff!), at a concert they previously did (either from the Sydney show from the Lights, Camera, Action! Tour or the Sydney shows from the Santa's Rockin'! Tour) or in animation.
The animation done for the show was done by March Digital, who still work with the group today. The animation from the fourth series consists of songs the group did in the past (some as far back as 1992). But when the fifth series came around, the animation also covered songs from Foreign versions of the group, like Spanish and Chinese. Which the audio comes from the international versions of the show from Los Wiggles and The Taiwanese Wiggles respectfully.
Some of the songs animated also appeared in various DVD releases the group put out in the 2000s. Some songs that were animated ended up not being used in the series or in DVD releases. Many of the series four and five episodes (that include the animated songs) are available today thanks to the shows getting a DVD release in June 2010[1][2], even though they have been out of print for over a decade, the shows also got a streaming release in Australia and New Zealand on Google Play[3][4] and YouTube. Many of the animated songs used in DVD releases have surfaced online as well. But there are still a large amount of songs animated that are completely unknown to the public and some remain unreleased.
