Status: Partially Found

Hocus Focus was an American children's television series that aired on Nickelodeon from 1979-1981.

The show centered on an apprentice wizard named Kryspen, who was sent from the middle ages to present day 1979 to learn about the modern world. His headquarters were in a museum, where he played various animated and live-action films.

Availability

Due to airing in the early years of Nickelodeon when not many people had cable TV or VCRs, footage has become scarce. On April 23rd, 2012, the intro and end credits were uploaded to YouTube by user GaryW48, who worked at Warner-Amex satellite uplink in Buffalo, New York from June 1980-October 1981. This was the only Hocus Focus he had saved when he left.

Some additional footage was made available on September 23rd, 2013, when the Facebook page for Slimed! An Oral History of Nickelodeon's Golden Age uploaded a promo reel Nick used to sell the channel to cable providers in 1980. The footage was obtained from master tapes donated by Bob Klein.[1]

On December 22nd, 2019, YouTube user Jon QUBE uploaded episode #38 of its entirety onto his channel.
